Sanitization Procedures Implemented
It’s more important than ever to make our members and the community feel safe and have peace of mind about attending services and other functions at Messiah Lutheran Church. In August of 2020, we applied for and received a grant from the ND Dept of Commerce to decrease the spread of infection. Therefore, grant money was used to implement the following safety precautions, including:
- Installation of UV sanitization lights on all eight units of the heating system,
- Touchless faucets and toilet sensors in the bathrooms, and
- Wall-mounted hand sanitizer stations throughout the church.
In addition to the precautions taken above, face masks are available for use. Social distancing, handwashing and the use of hand sanitizer are encouraged.
It’s been hard to maintain the closeness of a church family without seeing each other in person. We’ve missed attending weekly church services together, Bible Classes, quilting, council meetings, choir, handbells, confirmation classes, youth group, the annual Drive n Dine, LWML meetings, Christmas parties, Trunk or Treat, and stained-glass meetings. Although some of our groups have started meeting again, we want to go back to NORMAL. When we don’t meet in person, we lose the closeness we had as a church family and we want our community to see what we have to offer. We take the health of our members and community seriously and we want our family and the community back when you feel you are ready.
